SMS Messaging is Completely Optional
SMS messaging is NOT required to use Benefactr. You can create an account, browse profiles, match with other users, and send messages without ever providing a phone number or opting in to SMS notifications. Phone verification is an optional feature that some users choose to add for enhanced trust and security.
Program Description
Benefactr SMS Alerts is a messaging service that provides account notifications for our dating and friendship application. This service is designed to keep registered users informed about important account activity and help them stay connected with their matches.
Who receives messages: Only registered Benefactr users who have voluntarily opted in to receive SMS notifications will receive messages from this service.
Opt-In Consent
By providing your phone number and checking the SMS consent checkbox during registration or in your account settings, you expressly consent to receive SMS messages from Benefactr.
Consent is not required to use the Benefactr service. You may use all features of the application without opting in to SMS notifications.
You can opt out at any time by texting STOP, updating your notification preferences in your account settings, or contacting our support team.
Message Types
You may receive the following types of SMS messages from Benefactr:
- Account verification codes - One-time codes to verify your phone number or login
- Security alerts - Notifications about password changes, suspicious login attempts, or account security
- Match notifications - Alerts when you have a new mutual match
- New message alerts - Notifications when you receive new messages from your matches
- Service announcements - Important updates about the Benefactr service
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your account activity. You can expect to receive approximately 0-20 messages per month, depending on your notification preferences and how actively you use the Benefactr application.

Costs & Carrier Fees

Your phone number and personal information are stored securely using industry-standard encryption and security practices.
